Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- two years of experience in culinary management
- two years of technical school or equivalent training
- ability to type 35 words per minute or more
- strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
- ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral form
- ability to work flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
- ability to stand on hard surfaces for long periods
- leadership skills including confidence and ability to articulate clear direction
- ability to build a positive work environment with open communication
- ability to maintain and advance camaraderie
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and instructions
- ability to write reports and correspondence

Job Duties
- Support and uphold Valley View Casino's standards of excellence
- maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints
- greet guests courteously using personalized service
- monitor staff for outstanding customer interaction
- ensure kitchen operations align with strategic plans
- maximize cost effectiveness by adhering to budget and labor benchmarks
- maintain accurate time, attendance, and variance records
- prepare, season, finish, and garnish food according to recipes
- coordinate with team members to run an efficient operation
- answer guest questions about food selections
- follow all recipes and quality control procedures
- monitor productivity and document any performance issues
- provide feedback to direct reports
- ensure supplies and equipment are available
- distribute workload fairly
- conduct daily huddles and meetings
- enforce safety rules and maintain cleanliness according to health regulations
- comply with all food and beverage laws and regulations
- perform other duties as assigned
- maintain professional and ethical conduct
- maintain consistent attendance record
