Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of restaurant or beverage management experience or equivalent
  • One year of progressive leadership experience including mentoring and coaching
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral form
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand on a hard surface for long periods of time
  • Ability to maintain and advance camaraderie throughout Food & Beverage operations
  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize throughout the day
  • Demonstrated confidentiality and privacy in handling team member information
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Leadership skills including clear communication and fostering a positive environment
  • Ability to speak, understand and write in English
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and policy documents in English
  • Ability to apply commonsense to instructions and problem solving
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
  • Must use excellent judgment to maintain positive guest relations
  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies sufficient for correct application
  • Must apply for and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency
  • Must pass skill testing and drug screening

Job Duties

  • Support and uphold Valley View Casino & Hotel's Standards of Excellence, Mission and Vision
  • Maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints
  • Supervise daily front-of-house Food & Beverage operations
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health codes
  • Monitor and engage staff for outstanding guest interactions
  • Ensure compliance with budget, labor, and revenue benchmarks
  • Maintain beverage standards and adhere to related alcohol laws
  • Serve as a mentor to team members
  • Conduct daily team huddles
  • Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed
  • Coordinate with management on Food & Beverage operations and guest service
  • Attend special events and training sessions
  • Maintain regular attendance and professional conduct
