Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum two years of experience in restaurant or beverage management or equivalent
  • One year of supervisory or leadership experience including coaching and training staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Effective English communication skills both spoken and written
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Must obtain Gaming License from Tribal Gaming Agency
  • Must pass drug screening and skill tests
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations including Dram Shop Act and Alcoholic Beverage Control Act
  • Capacity to manage guest relations professionally
  • Commitment to company standards and safety regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of restaurant or beverage management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One year of progressive leadership experience including mentoring, training, and coaching
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to foster camaraderie
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Leadership skills with the ability to provide clear direction and positive work environment
  • Ability to write routine reports and read and interpret documents in English
  • Ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Gaming License
  • Ability to pass skill testing and drug screening

Job Duties

  • Support and uphold the Valley View Casino & Hotel’s Standards of Excellence, Mission and Vision statements
  • Maintain positive guest relations and resolve complaints
  • Monitor and engage staff for outstanding guest interactions
  • Ensure front of house operations align with department strategic plans
  • Promote outstanding guest service
  • Maintain cleanliness and health code compliance
  • Resolve guest issues and special requests promptly
  • Maximize cost effectiveness within budget and labor benchmarks
  • Ensure beverage standards are maintained to protect the casino’s alcohol license
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
  • Accurately track and report tips daily
  • Mentor and coach department team members
  • Provide input for Food & Beverage operations improvement
  • Conduct daily team huddles
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of company facilities and special events
  • Attend meetings and training sessions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conduct responsibilities professionally and ethically
  • Maintain consistent attendance
  • Adhere to performance standards and company policies
