Job Requirements
- Standing 85-100 percent of the shift
- Frequent bending at the waist

- Wrist and finger dexterity including ability to use tongs, scissors
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist height
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds overhead
- Able to push and pull up to 250 pounds
- Wrist and finger dexterity including ability to use tongs, scissors, pen, fine motor skills, press buttons for data entry on computer, calculator, electronic K5 and other beverage machines
- Listening to and responding to customer and staff inquiries
- Visual and cognitive capability sufficient to read and follow instructions, recipes
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 18 months of food handling, short order cooking, or related experience
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions
- Ability to count cash, make change and communicate well with the public
- At least one year of cash handling experience
Job Duties
- Take between 300-1200 customer orders daily and serve them
- Use POS terminal to add cost of food, collect money and make change
- Prepare a variety of simple foods including French fries, hamburgers, hot dogs, soups, sandwiches
- Prepare and dispense coffee, tea and other beverages
- Wash dishes, cooking utensils, counter space
- Observe safety and health regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation
- Operate independently and without direct supervision to determine quantities of food and beverages needed
- Maintain records such as number and dollar volume of sales, daily time record of hours worked
- Balance and reconcile cash to cash register tapes
- Balance safe (petty cash) daily
- Instruct and assign helpers and student staff
- Forecast and determine weekly order based upon established menus and customer count history
- Place orders with food vendors
- Take weekly inventory of products
