Job Requirements
- Be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Pass a background check and clear a drug screen
- Be able to stand for the full duration of the shift
- Be available to work in a 38-degree cold room, only when necessary
- Be a team player and work well with a diverse team from all over the world
- Ability to comprehend verbal and written specifications in English
- Possess basic math skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- This is a 24-hour operation, 7 days a week
- This is a union position - must be willing to pay union dues after 60 days
- Must be available to work a full-time position, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently and 10+ pounds consistently
- Bend/stoop/twist repeatedly and stand for 8 – 12 hours a day
Job Qualifications
- Must have good attendance
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Must be able to walk/stoop/bend/stand for entire shift
- Must be able to use fingers and hands to handle equipment
- Must have the ability to push in excess of 70 lbs and lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to work around moving parts and wet floors
- Must be able to work in a hot, cold and wet environment
- Must be able to work with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
Job Duties
- Responsible for using floor machine and cleaning work areas, floors, walls, bathrooms, offices, coolers, freezers, ramp and equipment
- Also responsible for cleaning kitchen tools, equipment trays, pots and pans
- Empty trash around the building
- International garbage handling
- Must maintain sanitation standards in accordance with company policy and USDA/FDA/HACCP regulations
- Sterilizer (International Trash)
- Autoclave
- Assigned to dedicated departments
