Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent
- Six months or less of related work experience
- Availability for night and weekend shifts
- Ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform required physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to adhere to company policies and personal hygiene standards
- Availability to work scheduled hours consistently
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, copying figures, counting and recording
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, passing along customer suggestions, and enhancing the shopping experience
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service including taking customer orders
- Takes customer orders at the counter
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handles food in a safe manner and ensures the work area is always clean and neat
- Reviews food status and freshness
- Ensures an adequate supply of food is ready and on hand following a production list
- Anticipates product needs and prepares or replenishes products daily
- Checks in product, puts product away, and may review invoices
- Runs department registers and handles payments where applicable
- Removes trash timely
- Maintains strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time
- Washes dishes as necessary
- Orders products and supplies as needed
- Prices products for customers as necessary
- Assists in other store areas as needed
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
