Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous airport or customer service experience preferred
  • previous baggage handling experience preferred
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • must be able to work outside in all weather conditions if requested
  • must have tact to deal with all levels of situations
  • must be able to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • ability to communicate in English clearly verbally and in writing
  • must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout the shift
  • must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug test
  • must pass pre-employment background check
  • must be a US citizen or possess necessary immigration authorization

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Meet and greet outbound passengers at terminal entrance
  • determine service need and check luggage
  • direct passengers to gate and input checked baggage when possible
  • provide special services like courtesy chairs, bags, carts, and assistance with carry-on baggage
  • provide general flight and terminal information to passengers
  • meet inbound flights to assist passengers
  • offer assistance in baggage claim area and ground transportation
  • transport checked baggage including oversized items to appropriate locations
  • handle other people's property with care
  • keep supervisor informed of needs and problems
  • maintain cleanliness of work area
  • adhere to company policies and dress code
  • attend meetings and training as required
