Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in airport or customer service preferred
- baggage handling experience preferred
- must be 18 years of age or older
- reliable telephone and transportation
- ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- ability to communicate clearly in English
- physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks
- must pass drug screening and background check
- legal authorization to work in the US
- must adhere to company policies and uniform requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous airport or customer service experience preferred
- previous baggage handling experience preferred
- ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- tact in dealing with clients and the public
- ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- clear verbal and written communication skills in English
- ability to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and bend throughout the shift
- ability to lift, carry, or hold up to 75 lbs
- must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- must pass pre-employment background check
- must be a US citizen or have necessary immigration authorization
Job Duties
- Meet and greet outbound passengers at terminal entrance
- determine service need and check luggage
- direct passengers to gate when possible
- input checked baggage into baggage system
- provide special services like courtesy chair, bag carts, assistance with carry-on baggage
- provide general information to passengers, give directions and flight information
- meet inbound flights to provide special services to passengers
- assist arriving passengers in claim area with baggage and ground transportation
- transport checked baggage to appropriate locations
- handle oversized luggage to bag room as requested
- be careful when handling passenger property
- adhere to all government, client, airport, and company regulations
- keep supervisor informed of problems and maintain cleanliness
- project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries
- attend meetings and in-services as required
- follow company uniform and identification policies
- utilize company and client equipment cost-effectively
- perform other duties as requested
