Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum age 18 years
  • previous airport or customer service experience preferred
  • previous baggage handling experience preferred
  • reliable telephone and transportation
  • able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • able to communicate clearly in English
  • able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
  • able to stand, bend, stoop, push, and work throughout shift
  • must pass background check and drug test
  • must have legal authorization to work in the US

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
  • previous baggage handling experience preferred
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • ability to communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing
  • ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English
  • tactful and able to interact professionally with clients, employees, and the public
  • able to work under various weather conditions
  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • ability to stand, bend, stoop, and push throughout shift
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • must pass pre-employment background check
  • must be U.S. citizen or have proper work authorization

Job Duties

  • Meet and greet outbound passengers at terminal entrance
  • determine service need and check luggage
  • direct passengers to gate when possible
  • input checked baggage into baggage system
  • provide special service including courtesy chair and baggage assistance
  • provide general information, directions, and flight information
  • meet inbound flights to provide assistance
  • meet and greet arriving passengers in claim area
  • offer help with baggage and ground transportation
  • transport checked baggage to appropriate location
  • transport oversized luggage to bag room
  • handle property carefully
  • be familiar with governmental, client, airport, and company regulations
  • keep supervisor informed of needs and problems
  • maintain cleanliness of work area
  • project a positive image and respond courteously
  • attend meetings and training
  • adhere to dress code and display identification
  • follow company policies and participate in achieving objectives
  • use equipment and supplies responsibly
  • perform other requested duties
