Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
- previous baggage handling experience preferred
- must be 18 years of age or older
- must have reliable telephone and transportation
- must be able to work outside in all weather conditions if requested
- must be able to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
- must be able to communicate in English clearly and concisely verbally and in written form
- must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout the shift
- must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs
- must pass pre-employment and random drug test
- must pass pre-employment background check
- must be a citizen of the US or possess the necessary authorization from the immigration and naturalization service (INS)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

- must have reliable telephone and transportation
- ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and in written form
- ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- tactfulness in dealing with various individuals including clients, employees, and the public
- knowledge of government, client, airport, and company regulations
- ability to lift, carry, and hold up to 75 lbs
- ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- must pass pre-employment background check
- must be a US citizen or possess necessary INS authorization
Job Duties
- Meet and greet outbound passengers at terminal entrance
- determine service need and check luggage
- direct passengers to gate when possible
- input checked baggage into baggage system
- provide special services such as courtesy chairs, bags, carts, and assistance with carry-on baggage as requested
- provide general information to passengers including directions and flight details
- meet inbound flights to assist passengers
- meet and greet arriving passengers in claim area and offer assistance with baggage and ground transportation
- transport checked baggage to appropriate locations including conveyor systems
- transport oversized luggage to bag room via elevator
- handle passengers' property carefully
- ensure compliance with government, client, airport, and company regulations
- maintain cleanliness and report maintenance needs
- project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries
- attend meetings and in-service trainings
- adhere to uniform and identification policies
- utilize company and client resources cost-effectively
- perform other duties as requested
