Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two to three years experience in food and beverage operations and management
  • ability to obtain and maintain required government licenses and permits
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
  • knowledge of health department rules, liquor laws and regulations
  • one to two years experience in public contact position preferably in upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
  • ability to multitask
  • strong communication skills in English
  • ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • college degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • two to three years experience in overall food and beverage operation with management experience
  • ability to obtain and maintain government required licenses, certificates, or permits
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules, and liquor laws
  • one to two years of public contact experience preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
  • strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • maintain positive and productive working relationships with employees and departments
  • ability to work independently and promote teamwork

Job Duties

  • Must have strong knowledge of nightlife/daylife operations and marketing
  • work with marketing manager to market Sky Bar and support marketing by gathering picture and video content
  • provide creative input on general direction of Sky Bar and special events
  • manage a sales and incentive program for table and ticket sales and yield sales strategically
  • establish, monitor, and manage budgeted revenue and net operating income
  • develop and implement action items to achieve or exceed financial goals
  • ensure adherence to labor and expense guidelines
  • institute and monitor service and product upgrades to maintain competitive edge
  • enforce specific standard operating procedures
  • promote guest satisfaction throughout the operation
  • implement repeat guest recognition programs to build loyalty
  • promote inter-company business relations and share best practices
  • act as liaison between restaurant and beverage operations
  • supervise and provide leadership to Skybar personnel
  • respond to guest complaints promptly
  • monitor industry trends and take appropriate action
  • coordinate with executive committee members
  • keep supervisor informed of problems requiring attention
  • coordinate loss prevention in beverage department
  • prepare and submit reports timely
  • organize and conduct regular department meetings
  • monitor quality of service and product
  • initiate menu planning and preparation
  • ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations, and safety compliance
  • train department heads on SOPs and technical job tasks
  • select, train, and develop personnel, including hiring, discipline, performance reviews, and termination within company policy
