Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two to three years of food and beverage operations experience including management
  • valid ability to obtain government required licenses
  • knowledge of health department and liquor laws
  • one to two years in a public contact position in an upscale or lifestyle hotel preferred
  • multitasking skills in fast paced environment
  • strong communication skills in English
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • physical capability to move and handle objects up to 15 pounds
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • good visual and hearing acuity
  • ability to perform repetitive motions and various physical postures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • college degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • two to three years experience in food and beverage operations and management
  • ability to obtain and maintain required licenses and permits
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation, health and liquor laws
  • one to two years experience in a public contact role preferably in upscale or lifestyle hotels
  • ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environments
  • strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • ability to maintain positive work relationships and promote teamwork
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Duties

  • Manage nightlife and daylife operations and marketing
  • work with marketing manager to promote Skybar and support with content gathering
  • provide creative input on Skybar direction and events
  • manage sales and incentive programs for tables and tickets
  • establish and manage budgeted revenue and net income
  • develop action plans to meet budget goals
  • adhere to labor and expense guidelines
  • monitor service and product upgrades
  • enforce standard operating procedures
  • promote guest satisfaction and repeat guest programs
  • foster inter-company business relations and best practices
  • act as liaison between restaurant and beverage operations
  • supervise Skybar personnel
  • address guest complaints promptly
  • monitor industry trends and adjust operations accordingly
  • collaborate with executive committee and report on Skybar issues
  • coordinate loss prevention in beverage department
  • prepare and submit reports on time
  • organize regular department meetings
  • monitor service quality and menu planning
  • ensure compliance with liquor laws and health regulations
  • train department heads on SOPs
  • select, train, and develop department staff with hiring and disciplinary authority
