Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 18 years of age with valid identification
  • work experience with youth serving organizations
  • reliable transportation
  • availability for mandatory overtime and weekend work
  • CPR and First Aid Certification from in-person training
  • ability to organize and supervise youth
  • ability to pass background check, TB test, and drug test
  • Serve Safe Certification as applicable
  • strong communication skills
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
  • maintain high energy and positive representation
  • ability to work in loud environments

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have valid identification
  • work experience with a Boys & Girls Club or other youth serving organization
  • reliable transportation and ability to commute to work as scheduled
  • availability for mandatory overtime including Saturdays
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (adult, child, infant preferred) obtained in-person
  • ability to organize, supervise, and reinforce positive behavior from members
  • pass a background check, TB test, and drug test
  • obtain Serve Safe Certification as applicable
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • associates degree or bachelor degree preferred
  • instructional aide qualification (paraprofessional test required)
  • enthusiasm and patience for working with children
  • meet staff training requirements

Job Duties

  • Plan and oversee the implementation of designated site programs and activities that support youth development outcomes
  • establish and maintain site program goals and settings that ensure the health and safety of members
  • ensure that site staff understand and effectively communicate program standards and maintain safe program areas and equipment
  • continually evaluate site programs to respond to member needs and address diversity
  • allocate and monitor work assigned to program volunteers and staff with ongoing feedback and appraisals
  • oversee all site record keeping, grant reporting, and compliance including participation tracking and issue documentation
  • ensure productive and effective performance by all program staff and volunteers
  • increase site program visibility through daily schedules, announcements, and promotional materials
  • develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with parents, members, school, and staff
