Job Duties

  • assist the chef in production and fabrication of food products
  • develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures including grill, sauté, and fry
  • use knives and various kitchen equipment proficiently
  • recreate recipes consistently
  • minimize food waste through cross utilization
  • prepare ingredients by chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
  • ensure proper storage of food and ingredients
  • take responsibility for the quality of ingredients
