Job Duties
- assist the chef in production and fabrication of food products
- develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures including grill, sauté, and fry
- use knives and various kitchen equipment proficiently
- recreate recipes consistently
- minimize food waste through cross utilization
- prepare ingredients by chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
- maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
- ensure proper storage of food and ingredients
- take responsibility for the quality of ingredients
