Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in customer service or sales
- Plumbing showroom sales experience preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Excellent verbal and telephone communication skills
- Ability to understand and address customer needs
- Ability to build positive working relationships
- Basic math competency
- Ability to work full time or part time as required
- Willingness to complete safety and compliance training
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Job Qualifications
- One or more years of customer service or sales experience, preferably in plumbing showroom sales
- Knowledge of products sold in the showroom
- Understanding of kitchen and bath design trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Deep product knowledge for upselling and cross-selling
- Ability to overcome objections and close sales
- Ability to build relationships with vendors and coworkers
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to learn and operate order processing computer systems
- Fluent in English
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Job Duties
- Provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to showroom customers
- Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction to meet or exceed sales and profit goals
- Warmly welcome each customer with hospitality
- Articulate showroom value propositions to engage and educate customers
- Determine customer needs and guide them to suitable products
- Leverage company technology for product selection, pricing, and availability
- Use sales reports and forecasting tools to achieve sales targets
- Enter sales orders and bids, expedite purchases, and manage customer projects
- Process showroom sale returns and refunds per company policies
- Maintain showroom cleanliness, stock levels, and safe product displays
- Attend professional events and industry associations to stay informed
- Complete required safety and compliance training
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
