Job Requirements
- ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
- ability to perform basic math
- ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- ability to work with fresh, dried and processed products, spices and powders without allergic consequences
- ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead storage
- ability to work in refrigerated coolers and high moisture rooms for extended periods
- ability to work in varying temperatures

Job Duties
- Maintain department sanitation and QA standards
- operate a baler and compactor
- monitor refrigerated storage temperatures and conditions
- be knowledgeable of frozen products including taste and preparation methods
- use CGO and handheld terminals to maintain and order stock
- maintain and report equipment issues
- keep communication within department and company
- maintain clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment
- clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment
- keep floor clear of debris and spills
- comply with Local, State and Federal regulations related to frozen food operations
- follow company policies, safety, and security standards
- dress and groom according to company policy
- adhere to QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves
- follow HAZCOM program and chemical safety guidelines
- greet customers and provide courteous service
- perform duties following ShopRite service priorities
- lift, pull, push, and rotate merchandise up to 50 lbs
- unload and transport merchandise to frozen food department
- stand for full scheduled shifts
- check prices and product locations
- promote charitable sales
- follow company shrink guidelines
- assist frozen manager as needed
- price items using approved devices
- ensure sale merchandise is attractively signed
- record markups, markdowns, spoilage in accordance with policies
- maintain unit price labels and price changes
- validate deliveries and maintain receiving logs
- fully stock and rotate frozen merchandise
- unload and secure products in storage areas
- block and face products according to policy
- complete departmental training
- maintain punctual attendance
- work overtime as assigned
- collaborate with others
- operate machinery only if 18 years or older
- perform other duties as assigned
