Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to perform basic computer functions
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 60 lbs
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties
- Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead racking and storage areas
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies
- Ability to engage and lead associates to achieve department goals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in food service management or related field
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with basic computer applications
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in customer service and conflict resolution
- Ability to manage financial aspects of department operations
Job Duties
- Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and programs, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations including environmental, health, safety and security
- Perform all duties in accordance with HAACP and Food Handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment according to Department QA standards
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
- Supervise associates including onboarding, training, and performance feedback
- Monitor and maintain department presentation including pricing, stocking, and signage
- Utilize required technology to manage food service operations and ensure compliance with company policies
- Verify accuracy of invoices and maintain accurate records and reports
- Manage department financials and adjust operations to meet goals
- Lead and engage associates to ensure department goals of sales, profit, customer experience, and associate engagement are met
- Maintain food safety certification and adhere to all food safety and handling standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
