Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in catering or food service is beneficial
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with customer service
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Ability to learn and use computer-based order tracking systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of social media marketing is a plus
- Commitment to company service priorities and standards
Job Duties
- Manage the flow of catering orders from customers and production team
- Maintain communication with department managers regarding orders, changes, or issues
- Coordinate, schedule, and communicate all pickups and deliveries to clients and departments
- Have product knowledge including servings, amounts, cost, and suggest complimentary items
- Utilize Wakefern's Order Ready On-Line catering tool for data tracking
- Use social media and local events to promote ShopRite Kitchen catering brand
- Develop and maintain customer relationship processes such as follow-up calls and reminder notes
- Participate in all training opportunities provided by Wakefern
- Regularly lift, pull, push, and rotate equipment and merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs
- Maintain signage for product choices and ingredients
- Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations including food safety and HAZCOM program
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Perform duties in line with QA hand washing and use of disposable gloves
- Greet customers and provide prompt and courteous service
- Promote current charitable promotions
- Adhere to company shrink guidelines related to catering
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment
- Observe safe methods of performing all duties
- Work overtime as assigned and cooperate with others
- Stand for the duration of scheduled shifts potentially exceeding 8 hours
- Operate machinery if aged 18 or older
- Perform other duties as assigned
