Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work with fresh, dried or processed products without allergic consequences
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to comply with all time and attendance policies
- Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-lo's, power jacks, and slicing machines

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Perform all duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
- Perform duties in accordance with company rules, policies, safety requirements and security standards
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Identify and scan product under correct department
- Lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
- Check prices and assist customers with item locations
- Collect proper payment and provide correct change
- Process all forms of payment as per company guidelines
- Promote charitable sales to customers
- Bag customers' orders safely and efficiently
- Handle damaged or return-to-stock products
- Stand at register for extended shifts
- Adhere to company shrink guidelines
- Follow company's HAZCOM program and use chemicals safely
- Maintain equipment and report problems
- Complete department training programs
- Perform duties in line with ShopRite service priorities
- Maintain punctual attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Cooperate with others
- Perform other duties as assigned
