Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- ability to perform basic math
- ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- ability to work with fresh, dried, processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic reactions

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment as per sanitation standards
- keep floor clear of debris and spills
- perform duties according to local, state and federal regulations pertaining to front-end operation
- follow company policies, safety and security standards
- dress and groom as per company policy including uniform and name badge
- follow QA hand washing standards and use gloves when handling unpackaged foods
- greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- operate cash register and adhere to cash handling procedures
- accurately scan products and identify correct departments
- regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise up to 50 lbs
- check prices and know item locations
- collect proper payment and provide correct change
- process various payment methods
- promote charitable sales to customers
- properly bag customer orders
- handle damaged or return-to-stock products following company policy
- be knowledgeable about store products including produce
- stand at register for entire shift which may exceed 8 hours
- adhere to company shrink guidelines for front-end operations
- follow HAZCOM program for chemical products
- maintain and report equipment issues
- complete department training
- adhere to ShopRite service priorities of safety, friendliness, presentation and efficiency
- maintain punctual and regular attendance
- work overtime as assigned
- collaborate with co-workers
- must be 18 or older to operate certain machinery
- perform other assigned duties
