Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift
- Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without allergic consequences
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work assigned schedules and comply with time and attendance policies

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment according to sanitation standards
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Perform duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
- Follow company rules, policies, safety requirements and security standards
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Perform duties in accordance with QA hand washing standards
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Accurately identify, scan, and price products
- Regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Check prices and know location of items
- Accurately collect payment and provide proper change
- Process various payment forms including cash, credit, checks, EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, vouchers, and gift cards
- Promote charitable promotions to customers
- Bag customer’s orders safely and efficiently
- Handle damaged or return-to-stock products
- Recognize and be knowledgeable about store products including produce
- Stand at register for duration of shift
- Adhere to company shrink guidelines
- Follow company HAZCOM program for chemical product safety
- Use and maintain equipment and report problems
- Complete department training programs
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Work cooperatively with others
- Must be 18 or older to operate certain equipment
- Perform other assigned duties
