Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of scheduled shifts
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic reactions
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with time and attendance policies
- Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-los, power jacks, and slicing machines

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment according to sanitation standards
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Perform duties in compliance with local, state and federal regulations pertaining to front-end operations
- Adhere to company rules, policies, safety and security standards
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Follow QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling unpackaged foods
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Accurately scan and price products
- Regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise up to 50 lbs
- Check prices and know product locations in store
- Collect proper payment and provide change
- Process all payment forms per company guidelines
- Promote current charitable promotions
- Properly bag customer orders
- Handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to policy
- Recognize product types including produce
- Stand at register for shifts which may exceed 8 hours
- Adhere to company shrink guidelines
- Follow HAZCOM and manufacturer instructions for chemical products
- Maintain equipment and report issues
- Complete department training
- Follow company service priorities
- Maintain punctual attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Cooperate with others
- Must be 18 or older to operate certain equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
