Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work with fresh, dried, and processed products without allergic reactions
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Perform duties complying with local, state and federal regulations
- Dress and groom according to company policy, including uniform and name badge
- Greet customers and provide courteous service
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Accurately scan and price products
- Lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
- Check prices and be knowledgeable about store items
- Collect payments and provide correct change
- Process all payments including cash, credit, checks, coupons and gift cards
- Promote charitable sales to customers
- Properly bag customer orders
- Handle damaged or return-to-stock products
- Recognize various store products including produce
- Stand at register for scheduled shifts
- Adhere to company shrink policies
- Follow safety and HAZCOM programs
- Maintain and report equipment issues
- Complete department training
- Uphold shoprite service priorities
- Maintain punctual attendance
- Work overtime as needed
- Collaborate with team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
