Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and processed products without allergies
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to comply with time and attendance policies
- Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-lo's, power jacks, and slicing machines

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment according to sanitation standards
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Perform all duties in accordance with relevant local, state and federal regulations
- Dress and groom according to company policy including uniform and hygiene requirements
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Accurately scan products and identify correct pricing
- Lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise up to 50 lbs
- Check prices and be knowledgeable about store items
- Collect proper payment and provide correct change
- Process all forms of payment according to company guidelines
- Promote current charitable promotions to customers
- Properly bag customer's orders safely and efficiently
- Handle damaged or return-to-stock products following company policy
- Stand at register for duration of scheduled shift which may exceed 8 hours
- Adhere to company shrink guidelines
- Follow HAZCOM program and safe use of chemical products
- Report equipment problems immediately
- Complete all department training programs
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Cooperate with others
- Operate balers, hi-lo's, power jacks and slicing machines if over 18
- Perform other duties as assigned
