Job Requirements

Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
ability to assist the Bakery Manager
ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
ability to work in varying temperatures
ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties
ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
ability to work cooperatively with others
ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies
must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-lo's, power jacks, and slicing machines

knowledge of bakery equipment operation and safety

ability to follow recipes and product specifications

Job Duties

Deliver great customer experience
assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations
bake, mix dough, ice, package, fill, and decorate pastries and bread
maintain neat, clean, and safe work environment
follow sanitation and quality assurance standards
clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment
keep floors clear of debris and spills
greet customers and provide friendly service
properly use department equipment
pack out product into display cases
rotate products to ensure freshness
ensure accurate signage
prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
follow recipes and adhere to weights and measure guidelines
set up and operate bakery equipment
prepare special order requests
track sales movements
take inventory and reorder supplies
check prices and product locations
promote charitable sales
receive deliveries and organize merchandise
unload trucks and transport products
assist in other departments as needed
follow company rules, safety requirements, and health regulations
comply with HAZCOM and chemical safety programs
handle damaged products and control damaged goods
adhere to shrink guidelines
check and maintain refrigeration equipment
complete all department training
maintain attendance and punctuality
work cooperatively with others
stand for the duration of shifts
perform other duties as assigned
