Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language
- Ability to assist the bakery manager
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic consequences
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with time and attendance policies
- Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-los, power jacks, and slicing machines.

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards including safety, personal hygiene, clean cases, and equipment
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Greet all customers and provide prompt courteous service and assistance
- Maintain and properly use all department equipment as required
- Pack out product into display cases
- Rotate product to ensure freshness
- Ensure accurate signage for the department
- Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- Perform all duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to bakery operation
- Dress and groom according to company policy including uniform, name badge and hair restraints
- Perform duties in accordance with hygiene standards and use gloves when handling food
- Follow recipes to produce food products of specified quality
- Adhere to weights and measures guidelines
- Operate bakery equipment according to formulas or recipes
- Prepare special order requests
- Track sales movement on production logs
- Take inventory weekly and reorder supplies as needed
- Check prices and product location
- Promote charitable sales
- Stand for long shifts
- Receive deliveries
- Place reclamation properly
- Regularly lift and handle merchandise up to 50 lbs
- Unload trucks and transport merchandise
- Assist other departments when needed
- Comply with company rules, safety and security policies
- Follow chemical safety program
- Follow approved procedures for product handling
- Handle damaged products per policy
- Adhere to shrink guidelines
- Check refrigeration equipment performance
- Report equipment problems
- Complete department training programs
- Maintain punctual attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Work cooperatively with others
- Must be 18 or older to operate certain machinery
- Perform other duties as assigned.
