Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- Ability to assist the bakery manager
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic reactions
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with time and attendance policies

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
- Maintain and properly use all department equipment
- Pack product into display cases
- Rotate product to ensure freshness
- Ensure accurate signage for the department
- Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- Perform duties according to local, state and federal bakery regulations
- Adhere to company dress and grooming policies
- Follow food safety standards including hand washing and glove use
- Follow recipes to produce food products
- Adhere to weights and measures guidelines
- Operate equipment for mixing and processing ingredients
- Prepare special orders as needed
- Track sales on production logs
- Take inventory weekly and reorder supplies
- Check prices and locate items in store
- Promote charitable promotions
- Stand for entire shifts which may exceed 8 hours
- Receive deliveries and properly stock items
- Assist in other departments when needed
- Follow company safety and security standards
- Adhere to handling and storage procedures
- Report equipment problems
- Complete department training programs
- Maintain punctual attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Work cooperatively with others
- Operate machinery if 18 years or older
- Perform other duties as assigned
