- ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
- ability to assist the Bakery Manager
- ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to work in varying temperatures
- ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without allergic consequences
- ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- ability to work cooperatively with others
- ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- maintain department sanitation and QA standards
- clean and sanitize work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- keep floor clear of debris and spills
- greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- maintain and properly use department equipment
- pack out product into display cases
- rotate product to ensure freshness
- ensure accurate signage for the department
- prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- perform duties according to health regulations
- dress and groom according to company policy
- perform hand washing and use gloves when handling food
- follow recipes to produce food products
- adhere to weight and measure guidelines
- operate equipment that processes ingredients
- prepare special orders
- track sales on production logs
- take inventory and reorder supplies
- check prices and know item locations
- promote charitable promotions
- stand for entire shift
- receive deliveries
- place reclamation properly
- lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs
- assist other departments as instructed
- follow company rules and safety requirements
- comply with HAZCOM program
- handle damaged and spoiled products
- maintain refrigeration equipment
- complete department training programs
- adhere to ShopRite service priorities
- maintain punctual attendance
- work overtime as assigned
- work cooperatively
- operate balers and slicing machines (18+ only)
