Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • ability to proficiently read, write and communicate in English
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • ability to work in different temperature environments
  • ability to handle food products safely
  • ability to use cleaning agents safely
  • ability to provide friendly customer interaction
  • ability to work well with team members
  • comply with attendance and punctuality requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
  • ability to assist the Bakery Manager
  • ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • ability to work in varying temperatures
  • ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances
  • ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
  • ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
  • ability to work cooperatively with others
  • ability to comply with time and attendance policies

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
  • maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
  • clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
  • keep floor clear of debris and spills
  • greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
  • maintain and properly use all department equipment
  • pack out product into display cases
  • rotate product to ensure freshness
  • ensure accurate signage for the department
  • prepare trays to company's and customer's satisfaction
  • perform all duties according to local, state and federal regulations
  • dress and groom according to company policy
  • follow recipes accurately
  • set up, operate and tend equipment for food production
  • prepare special order requests
  • track sales on production logs
  • take inventory and reorder supplies
  • check prices and product locations
  • promote charitable sales
  • stand for duration of shift
  • receive deliveries
  • place reclamation properly
  • unload trucks and transport merchandise
  • assist other departments when needed
  • perform duties according to company rules, policies and safety standards
  • follow HAZCOM program
  • handle damaged products properly
  • adhere to company shrink guidelines
  • check refrigeration equipment
  • utilize and maintain department equipment
  • complete department training
  • maintain punctual attendance
  • work overtime as assigned
  • must be 18 or older to operate equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned
