Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling
  • Capability to regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 60 lbs
  • Ability to work with fresh, dried, processed products, spices, and powdered substances without allergic reactions
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures
  • Tolerance to dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties
  • Ability to safely climb ladders to retrieve items
  • Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner
  • Ability and willingness to work assigned schedules including overtime
  • Ability to engage and lead associates to achieve department goals

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Experience in bakery or food service environments preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to train and develop team members
  • Familiarity with inventory and pricing management
  • Capacity to work cooperatively with others and encourage teamwork

Job Duties

  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations
  • Enforce HACCP and food handling procedures and maintain department quality standards
  • Supervise associates in safe use of equipment and proper food safety practices
  • Greet customers and deliver prompt, courteous service
  • Lead hiring, training, and development of bakery associates
  • Monitor inventory, pricing accuracy, and product presentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bakery environment in compliance with company standards
  • Oversee department staffing and scheduling to meet sales and customer experience goals
  • Ensure all department reports and records are accurate and retained properly
  • Assist with special orders, catering, and preparation of food products as needed
