Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 60 lbs
  • Ability to work with fresh, dried, and processed products without allergic reactions
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust and cleaning agents
  • Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from storage
  • Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
  • Ability to work assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
  • Ability to engage and lead associates to achieve department goals

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Direct and supervise all bakery department functions and activities
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
  • Manage hiring, training, and coaching of bakery associates
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the bakery department
  • Monitor inventory, product quality, and pricing accuracy
  • Enforce company policies and safety procedures
  • Promote customer service excellence and associate engagement
