Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and regularly lifting 25 lbs and occasionally 60 lbs
  • Ability to work with fresh, dried, or processed products without allergic reactions
  • Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
  • Ability to climb ladders to retrieve items from overhead storage
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and engage associates to achieve department goals
  • Ability to comply with scheduling, attendance, and time policies

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Experience in supervising or managing retail bakery operations preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Effective communication and customer service abilities

Job Duties

  • Direct and supervise all bakery functions and activities
  • Manage bakery sales, profit, and customer experience goals
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, food handling, and health regulations
  • Lead, train, and develop bakery associates
  • Maintain department cleanliness, product presentation, and stock rotation
  • Utilize technology to manage bakery operations and inventory
  • Oversee invoicing, pricing accuracy, and regulatory compliance
