Job Requirements

Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
Ability to perform basic math
Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in varying temperatures
Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic consequences
Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties
Ability to maintain department sanitation and QA standards
Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-lo's, power jacks, and slicing machines

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment according to sanitation and quality standards
Keep the floor clear of debris and spills
Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
Maintain and properly use all department equipment as required
Pack out product into display cases
Rotate product to ensure freshness
Ensure accurate signage for the department
Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
Perform all duties in accordance with local, state and federal bakery regulations
Perform all duties in compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and security standards
Follow company dress and grooming policies
Use proper hand washing and wear disposable gloves when handling food
Place reclamation in its proper location
Unload trucks and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
Regularly lift, pull, push, and rotate merchandise
Check prices and know item locations
Promote charitable sales to customers
Stand for long shifts
Receive deliveries
Assist in other departments when needed
Work overtime as business demands
Adhere to company chemical safety programs
Follow approved procedures for receiving, code dating, preparing, storing, pricing, arranging and restocking products
Handle damaged goods per company policy
Monitor refrigeration equipment performance
Adhere to company shrink guidelines
Utilize and maintain department equipment and report issues
Complete department training
Maintain punctual attendance
Work cooperatively with team
Operate machinery if age 18 or older
Other duties as assigned
