Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or bakery experience helpful but not required
- must be at least 18 years old
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- basic math and communication skills
- ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- willingness to work flexible hours including overtime
- ability to work in a physically demanding and temperature-variable environment

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment according to sanitation standards
- keep floor clear of debris and spills
- greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- maintain and properly use all department equipment
- pack out product into display cases
- rotate product to ensure freshness
- ensure accurate signage for the department
- prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- perform duties according to local, state and federal regulations related to bakery operations
- follow company rules, policies, and safety requirements
- dress and groom according to company policy
- perform duties in accordance with QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling food
- place reclamation in its proper location
- unload trucks and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
- regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise
- check prices and know location of items
- promote charitable promotions to customers
- stand for entire shift
- receive deliveries
- assist other departments as needed
- work overtime as required
- follow HAZCOM program and manufacturer’s label instructions for chemicals
- follow approved procedures for receiving, code dating, preparing, storing, price marking, arranging, and restocking products
- handle damaged and spoiled products per company policy
- check refrigeration equipment and report failures
- adhere to company shrink guidelines
- utilize and maintain equipment and report problems
- complete department training programs
- maintain punctual and regular attendance
- work cooperatively with others
- perform other duties as assigned
