Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
  • maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
  • clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
  • keep floor clear of debris and spills
  • greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
  • maintain and properly use all department equipment
  • pack out product into display cases
  • rotate product to ensure freshness
  • ensure accurate signage for the department
  • prepare trays to company’s and customer’s satisfaction
  • perform duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
  • dress and groom according to company policy
  • perform duties in accordance with quality assurance hand washing standards and use disposable gloves
  • follow recipes to produce food products
  • operate equipment for cooking, mixing, and processing ingredients
  • prepare special order requests as required
  • track sales on production logs
  • take inventory of supplies weekly and reorder as needed
  • place reclamation properly
  • regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
  • unload trucks and transport merchandise
  • check prices and be knowledgeable about item locations in the store
  • promote charitable promotions to customers
  • stand for the duration of shifts which may exceed 8 hours
  • receive deliveries
  • assist other departments
  • adhere to safety and chemical handling programs
  • follow company rules, policies and health codes
  • handle damaged and spoiled products
  • maintain equipment and report problems
  • check refrigeration equipment regularly
  • complete department training programs
  • maintain punctual and regular attendance
