Job Requirements

  • ability to stand and walk for the duration of the scheduled shift
  • ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs
  • ability to work in varying temperatures
  • ability to work with fresh, dried or processed products without allergic consequences
  • ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
  • must comply with uniform and grooming standards
  • must follow local, state and federal health and safety regulations
  • must adhere to food safety practices including hand washing and glove use

Job Qualifications

  • ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English
  • ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
  • ability to work cooperatively with others
  • ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
  • understands and adheres to company shrink guidelines as relates to bakery operations
  • must be 18 years or older to operate certain machinery

Job Duties

  • maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
  • maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
  • clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
  • keep floor clear of debris and spills
  • greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service
  • maintain and properly use all department equipment
  • pack out product into display cases
  • rotate product to ensure freshness
  • ensure accurate signage for the department
  • prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
  • perform all duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
  • dress and groom according to company policy
  • follow recipes to produce food products
  • operate equipment that mixes or processes ingredients
  • prepare special order requests
  • track sales movement
  • take inventory of supplies weekly
  • place reclamation in its proper location
  • lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
  • check prices and be knowledgeable about item locations
  • promote charitable sales
  • stand at work station for duration of scheduled shift
  • receive deliveries
  • assist other departments
  • adhere to safety and chemical handling protocols
  • follow procedures for receiving, storing and restocking products
  • handle damaged products according to policy
  • utilize department equipment
  • check refrigeration performance
  • complete department training programs
  • maintain punctual attendance
  • work overtime as assigned
  • cooperate with others
  • perform other assigned duties
