Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to work in varying temperature conditions
- no adverse allergies to food products or cleaning agents
- good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
- availability to work assigned shifts and overtime as required
- must be at least 18 years old to operate certain machinery
- compliance with company policies and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- maintain department sanitation and QA standards
- clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- keep floor clear of debris and spills
- greet all customers and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance
- maintain and properly use all department equipment
- pack out product into display cases
- rotate product to ensure freshness
- ensure accurate signage for the department
- prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- perform duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
- dress and groom according to company policy
- perform duties in accordance with QA hand washing standards
- follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor and quality
- set up, operate and tend equipment according to formulas or recipes
- prepare special order requests
- track movement of sales on production logs
- take a complete and accurate inventory of supplies weekly
- place reclamation in its proper location
- regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise
- unload trucks and transport merchandise to bakery department
- check prices and be knowledgeable about item locations
- promote current charitable promotions to customers
- stand at work station for duration of shifts
- receive deliveries
- assist in other departments when instructed
- perform duties according to company’s HAZCOM program
- follow company rules, policies, safety requirements and regulations
- follow approved procedures for product receiving and restocking
- handle damaged and spoiled products
- understand and adhere to company shrink guidelines
- utilize and maintain equipment
- check refrigeration equipment
- complete all applicable training programs
- perform duties in accordance with ShopRite service priorities
- maintain punctual and regular attendance
- work overtime as assigned
- work cooperatively with others
- must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-los, power jacks, and slicing machines
- perform other duties as assigned
