Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
  • maintain department sanitation and QA standards
  • clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
  • keep floor clear of debris and spills
  • greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
  • maintain and properly use all department equipment
  • pack out product into display cases
  • rotate product to ensure freshness
  • ensure accurate signage for the department
  • prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
  • perform all duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations pertaining to bakery operation
  • dress and groom according to company policy including uniform and name badge
  • perform duties in accordance with QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling food
  • follow recipes to produce food products of specified quality
  • set up, operate, and tend bakery equipment
  • prepare special order requests
  • track movement of sales on production logs
  • take accurate inventory and reorder supplies
  • place reclamation properly
  • lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • unload trucks and transport merchandise
  • check prices and item locations
  • promote charitable promotions
  • stand for entire shift
  • receive deliveries
  • assist other departments when instructed
  • follow HAZCOM program and chemical product safety instructions
  • adhere to company rules and safety requirements
  • follow approved procedures for receiving and restocking products
  • handle damaged and spoiled products
  • understand company shrink guidelines
  • utilize and maintain equipment and refrigeration
  • complete department training
  • maintain punctual and regular attendance
  • work overtime as assigned
  • work cooperatively with others
  • operate balers and power equipment when 18 or older
  • perform other duties as assigned
