Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift regularly 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- No allergies to fresh, dried or processed food products, spices and cleaning agents
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to comply with all time and attendance policies
- Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-los, power jacks, and slicing machines
- Ability to work various shifts including overtime
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications

- Ability to lift and move merchandise
- Basic math and inventory skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain department sanitation and QA standards
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment according to sanitation standards
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- Maintain and properly use all department equipment
- Pack out product into display cases
- Rotate product to ensure freshness
- Ensure accurate signage
- Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- Perform duties according to local, state and federal regulations
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Follow QA hand washing standards and use gloves when handling food
- Follow recipes to produce food products
- Operate and tend equipment for food production
- Prepare special order requests
- Track sales on production logs
- Take inventory of supplies and reorder as needed
- Place reclamation in proper location
- Lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise
- Unload trucks and transport merchandise
- Check prices and item locations
- Promote charitable sales
- Stand for scheduled shifts
- Receive deliveries
- Assist other departments as instructed
- Follow HAZCOM program and safety instructions for chemicals
- Perform duties according to company rules and regulations
- Follow procedures for receiving, storing and restocking products
- Handle damaged and spoiled products
- Adhere to company shrink guidelines
- Maintain and utilize equipment
- Check refrigeration equipment regularly
- Complete department training
- Follow ShopRite Service Priorities
- Maintain regular attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Work cooperatively
- Operate machinery only if 18 or older
- Perform other assigned duties
