Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English language
- Ability to stand or walk for the duration of scheduled shift
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to work with fresh, dried or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with attendance policies
- Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-los, power jacks, and slicing machines
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in bakery or food preparation preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and production formulas
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Physical ability to perform lifting and physical tasks
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work extended hours including standing for long periods
- Commitment to company service priorities of safety, friendliness, presentation, and efficiency
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
- Maintain and properly use all department equipment
- Pack out product into display cases
- Rotate product to ensure freshness
- Ensure accurate signage for the department
- Prepare trays to company’s and customer’s satisfaction
- Perform all duties in accordance with Local, State and Federal regulations
- Dress and groom according to company policy including uniform and hair restraint requirements
- Perform duties in accordance with hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling food
- Follow recipes to produce consistent food products
- Operate equipment that cooks, mixes or blends ingredients
- Prepare special order requests as required
- Track sales movement on production logs
- Take and reorder weekly inventory
- Place reclamation in proper location
- Regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise up to 50 lbs
- Unload trucks and transport merchandise
- Check prices and be knowledgeable about store items
- Promote charitable promotions to customers
- Stand for duration of shift
- Receive deliveries
- Assist in other departments when instructed
- Follow chemical handling and safety protocols
- Adhere to all company rules, policies, and safety requirements
- Handle damaged and spoiled products appropriately
- Utilize and maintain equipment
- Check refrigeration equipment regularly
- Complete department training programs
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Cooperate with others
- Must be 18 or older to operate specific machinery
- Perform other duties as assigned
