Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English
- Ability to stand or walk for the duration of scheduled shifts
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 pounds, occasionally lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to work with fresh, dried or processed products, spices and powders without allergic reaction
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with time and attendance policies

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards including safety, personal hygiene, clean cases, and equipment
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
- Maintain and properly use all department equipment as required
- Pack out product into display cases
- Rotate product to ensure freshness
- Ensure accurate signage for the department
- Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- Perform all duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations related to bakery operations
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Perform duties in accordance with quality assurance hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling food
- Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, clarity, bouquet, or color
- Operate equipment that cooks, mixes, blends or processes ingredients according to formulas or recipes
- Prepare special order requests as required
- Track movement of sales on production logs
- Take inventory of supplies weekly and reorder as needed
- Place reclamation in proper location
- Regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds
- Unload trucks and transport merchandise to bakery department
- Check prices and be knowledgeable about item location
- Promote charitable sales promotions
- Stand for duration of scheduled shifts
- Receive deliveries
- Assist in other departments when instructed
- Follow hazardous communication program and use chemicals safely
- Adhere to company rules, safety requirements, and regulations
- Follow procedures for receiving, code dating, preparing, storing, price marking, arranging and restocking products
- Handle damaged and spoiled products according to policy
- Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines related to bakery
- Utilize and maintain equipment and report problems
- Check refrigeration equipment for proper performance
- Complete all applicable training
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Work cooperatively with others
- Operate balers, hi-lo’s, power jacks and slicing machines if 18 or older
- Perform other duties as assigned
