Job Requirements

  • Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
  • ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
  • ability to work in varying temperatures
  • ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powders without allergic reactions

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
  • maintain department sanitation and QA standards
  • clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
  • keep floor clear of debris and spills
  • greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service
  • maintain and properly use all department equipment
  • pack out product into display cases
  • rotate product to ensure freshness
  • ensure accurate signage for the department
  • prepare trays to company's and customer's satisfaction
  • perform duties in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • dress and groom according to company policy
  • perform duties following QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves
  • follow recipes for food product preparation
  • set up, operate and tend equipment for food processing
  • prepare special order requests
  • track sales on production logs
  • take inventory and reorder supplies
  • place reclamation in proper location
  • lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise
  • unload trucks and transport merchandise
  • check prices and product locations
  • promote current charitable promotions
  • stand for duration of shift
  • receive deliveries
  • assist other departments when needed
  • follow HAZCOM program for chemical use
  • adhere to company rules and safety standards
  • follow approved procedures for product handling and restocking
  • handle damaged and spoiled products
  • adhere to shrink guidelines
  • maintain equipment and report problems
  • check refrigeration equipment
  • complete department training programs
  • perform duties in line with service priorities
  • maintain attendance and punctuality
  • work overtime and cooperatively with others
  • operate equipment if 18 or older
  • perform other duties as assigned
