Job Requirements

Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English
ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs
ability to work in varying temperatures
ability to work with fresh, dried and processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic reactions
ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
ability to work cooperatively with others
ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with time and attendance policies

Job Duties

Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
maintain department sanitation and QA standards
clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
keep floor clear of debris and spills
greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
maintain and properly use all department equipment
pack out product into display cases
rotate product to ensure freshness
ensure accurate signage for the department
prepare trays to company and customer’s satisfaction
perform duties according to local, state and federal regulations
dress and groom according to company policy
follow QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves
follow recipes to produce food products
set up, operate and tend equipment
prepare special order requests
track movement of sales on production logs
take inventory of supplies weekly and reorder as needed
place reclamation in its proper location
regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise
unload trucks and transport merchandise
check prices and know item locations
promote charitable sales
stand for entire shift
receive deliveries
assist other departments
follow company HAZCOM program
perform duties according to company rules and health regulations
follow procedures for receiving, code dating, storing and restocking products
handle damaged and spoiled products
understand and adhere to shrink guidelines
utilize and maintain equipment
check refrigeration performance
complete department training programs
maintain punctual and regular attendance
work overtime as assigned
work cooperatively with others
operate balers, hi-los, power jacks and slicing machines if 18 or older
perform other duties as assigned
