Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- ability to work in varying temperatures
- ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic consequences
- ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with attendance policies
- must be 18 years or older to operate machinery
- maintain punctual and regular attendance
- work overtime as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- knowledge of bakery equipment operation
- understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work cooperatively with others
- experience in a bakery or food production environment preferred but not mandatory
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
- clean and sanitize work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- pack out products into display cases
- rotate product to ensure freshness
- prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- follow recipes to produce food products
- operate bakery equipment according to formulas
- perform inventory and reorder supplies
- receive deliveries and unload trucks
- promote current charitable promotions
- perform duties in accordance with safety and hygiene standards
- work cooperatively with others
- assist in other departments as needed
