Job Requirements

Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
Ability to work in varying temperatures
Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties
Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies

Job Qualifications

Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language
Experience in food preparation or bakery operations preferred
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
Good physical stamina
Familiarity with bakery equipment operation is a plus
Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workplace

Job Duties

Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
Maintain department sanitation and QA standards
Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
Keep floor clear of debris and spills
Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
Maintain and properly use all department equipment
Pack out product into display cases
Rotate product to ensure freshness
Ensure accurate signage for the department
Prepare trays to company and customer's satisfaction
Perform all duties according to local, state and federal regulations
Dress and groom according to company policy
Follow hygiene standards and use gloves when handling food
Follow recipes to produce food products
Operate and tend bakery equipment
Prepare special order requests
Track sales and inventory
Place reclamation properly
Lift, pull, push merchandise up to 50 lbs
Unload deliveries
Check prices and item locations
Promote charitable sales
Stand for duration of shifts
Assist other departments when needed
Adhere to safety and chemical handling procedures
Follow company rules and policies
Handle damaged products
Report equipment problems
Regularly check refrigeration equipment
Complete department training
Maintain punctual attendance
Work overtime as assigned
Cooperate with others
Perform other duties as assigned
