Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to perform basic computer functions
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 60 lbs
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties
- Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead racking and storage areas
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with time and attendance policies
- Ability to engage and lead associates to achieve department goals
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- Ability to perform basic math
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in retail or food service management preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Competence in basic computer applications
Job Duties
- Direct and supervise all Appy/Deli department functions and associates to achieve sales, profit, customer experience, and associate engagement goals
- Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department in line with QA standards
- Lead hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of department associates
- Greet customers and promote charitable campaigns to enhance customer experience
- Oversee product presentation, pricing accuracy, and inventory organization in department displays
- Utilize technology to manage operations, verify invoices, and maintain accurate records
