Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma required
  • at least four years as a mechanic
  • minimum two years experience as a shop foreman or lead mechanic
  • ability to read and understand computer generated reports and invoices
  • must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with others
  • must maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • ability to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 25 pounds to the shoulder
  • willingness to work additional hours as required
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • compliance with safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • minimum four years of experience as a mechanic
  • at least two years as a shop foreman or lead mechanic
  • ability to read computer-generated reports, office reports, and invoices
  • proficiency in operating computer terminals
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to interact well with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • possession and maintenance of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Job Duties

  • Diagnose all components of the truck
  • help write up repair orders and communicate with drivers and owners to determine problems and solutions
  • schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees according to their skills
  • inspect and advise mechanics on work progress
  • keep track of customer jobs and advise on completion time, cost, and additional repairs
  • perform road and dyno tests to diagnose problems and verify repair completion
  • maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of buildings, grounds, tools, and equipment
  • coordinate with Parts Department to ensure parts availability and correct billing
  • verify repair orders are completed accurately and correctly coded
  • assess warranty coverage for repairs
  • start work 30 minutes prior to mechanics to analyze work schedule
  • work additional hours as required
  • ensure safe working conditions for all employees
