Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- forklift experience required
- clamp truck experience required
- ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods
- ability to maintain balance on narrow walkways
- ability to operate powered industrial trucks
- ability to reach vertically and horizontally with hands and arms
- ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance
- required visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- required OSHA auditory abilities
- proficiency in English to understand and communicate
- capable of training on both 1st and 2nd shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- continued education certificate or post-secondary degree preferred
- forklift experience
- clamp truck experience
- prior experience in corrugated industry or manufacturing floor experience preferred
- related military training or experience preferred
- ability to read and interpret schematics preferred
- basic computer operations knowledge preferred
- experience and compliance with OSHA regulations preferred
- self-motivated, dependable, punctual, and organized
- proficiency in English for safety communication
Job Duties
- Work safely always
- wear proper personal protective equipment appropriate to the corrugated environment
- comply with all safety policies and procedures
- inspect trailers prior to loading to ensure they are free and clear of debris
- load or assist loading product into a trailer following shipping instructions
- scan product back into inventory following shipping instructions
- unload or assist in unloading finished product in or from trailer following shipping instructions
- inspect load in trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and it is the correct load before leaving
- verify count while truck is being unloaded as allowed by customers
- perform daily truck inspections and report any maintenance items to management immediately
- maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment
- perform housekeeping to keep area and production floor clean and safe
- ensure product quality, cost, and production goals are met
- participate in training as assigned
- always exercise common courtesy and common sense to build team relationships
- identify opportunities for continuous improvement with respect to safety, housekeeping, quality, cost, production, and team
- respond to emergency issues including troubleshooting and clean up to minimize safety hazards, quality loss, production delays, and downtime
- have good communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of plant operations and management
- share knowledge and gain knowledge from the rest of the team
- adapt duties and responsibilities based on business needs
