Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
  • ability to use a pallet jack
  • ability to operate and drive a forklift preferred
  • ability to learn and understand shipping regulations
  • punctuality and strong work ethic
  • ability to work independently and in team settings
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience with shipping is a plus

Job Duties

  • Learn and apply shipping laws for domestic shipments
  • generate information on Bills of Lading to prepare shipment
  • fill out and submit all domestic documentation as required by customer and law
  • schedule freight carrier pickups and work with freight forwarders and logistics companies as needed
  • affix required documentation and labels to shipments
  • review the Sales Order for any special instructions for shipment
  • enter basic information into computer software to engrave tags
  • drill holes into caps and affix wires and tags to valves
  • fold and secure boxes for shipping
  • read and apply specific instructions from Work Orders
  • visually inspect valves and tags for quality
  • pack valves in boxes with protective foam to prevent damage
  • palletize orders and add labels and extra packing
  • build crates and place valves appropriately
  • use pallet jacks to move orders
  • operate forklift to load pallets onto trucks
  • may work more or less than 40 hours per week based on production needs
