Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience with scheduling and coordination
- strong communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and database software
- ability to work flexible hours within scheduled shift
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- capacity to sit approximately 85% of the time and stand or walk 15% of the time
- ability to operate in typical office and warehouse environments including cold temperature zones
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- ability to utilize various personal computers including Microsoft Office and database software
- flexible to ever-changing workloads and responsibilities
Job Duties
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, company, and community
- collects fees and issues receipts to outside carriers
- coordinates and schedules inbound and outbound loads, including working with returning drivers
- communicates with receiving team, warehouse supervisor, management, customer service, and external partners
- prints purchase orders and receiving labels, prepares special customer labels
- processes and manages shipping and receiving paperwork including purchase orders, proformas, transfers, BOLs, will calls, returns, and delivery notes
- reviews delivery notes for special instructions and shares with warehouse
- ensures orders ship on time to meet customer delivery requirements
- assists office staff with driver paperwork, credits, and filing as needed
- maintains shipping office organization, housekeeping standards, and compliance with company policies
- works effectively in a fast-paced environment and performs additional duties as assigned
